Friday Fancies

A return to my semi-regular round up of some of my favourite things this week.  Enjoy!

This tutorial for a draped-shawl cardigan has me searching for some nice jersey fabric to make one for myself.  I love this type of cardigan.

Another sewing pattern I'd like to try - the Anita ponte pant from Tessuti.  I've seen loads of this type of trousers/leggings in the shops recently and fancy trying to make some of my own.  I'd probably go for plain black though!

This recipe for 3 cheese baked ziti.  I've made it a couple of times and it's awesome!

An online fashion illustration mini-course.  I really fancy trying this, I spent many, many hours drawing clothes in my teens and I'd love to know how to do it "properly".

That's it for now.  Have a lovely weekend.

  1. The ponte pants/leggings pattern is also on my wishlist. I would make so many of them in all sort of colours/patterns but I'll have to leave it until Autumn/Winter next year, leggings are no good for summer!

    1. I don't think I'd be brave enough to try these in patterned fabric, but a few plain, dark pairs would definitely work in my winter wardrobe.

  2. Oh I like that cardigan - I had one a few years back and it was perfect for this time of year - that's another project for the list! x

    1. I saw a pretty expensive cardigan recently in this style that could be wrapped and worn in different ways - too expensive for me, so I think I might try this tutorial. Even if I can only wear it as shown in the photo I'd still get a lot of wear out of one.

  3. Thanks for sharing the link to the cardigan. I am itching to practice with my new serger and the pattern looks perfect for it!
