I gave up waiting for hubby to help me (he loves photography and has quite a bit of quite expensive equipment, but somehow is never able to assist me in photographing my finished projects!) and did it by myself.
Consequently, they are not the best photos in the world, but at least you can see what it actually looks like on.
I'm really pleased with it, although I think I could have made it a tiny bit smaller. I tend to err on the side of "too big" because I'm petrified of things being too small.
Anyway, enough of the chat - here I am!
Well I've been waiting to see your dress and it looks fab, love the necklace you have on too. I totally relate to the erring on the side of caution/making it bigger issue. Having happily met you in real life, I think you are smaller than you realise Sam :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Jacq. I am really pleased with the dress and the necklace, which was a £4 bargain I spotted just after I finished the dress.
DeleteI think you're probably right about me being smaller than I think too. ;-)
The colors looks so good with your coloring. I tend to make things bigger, too. It always seems less daunting to take something in rather than making something that is too tight. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThanks Liza Jane. I used to wear a lot of browns at one time, but now I think this is the only brown garment I have (although it's actually a lot nicer than "brown" suggests!). I'd forgotten what a good colour it is for me!
DeleteYay! Thank you! It looks much better on you than on the hanger! So cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks Gail, it feels cute too!
DeleteOh it looks fantastic! Good job!
ReplyDeleteI completely do the same - since I've been learning to fit better, I have a couple of dresses that are too large on me.
Thanks Jenny. I'm glad I'm not the only one who makes things too large.
DeleteVery stylish! The slight sheen of the fabric is lovely, as is the style...and fit is just right!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much. x
