But I have started knitting a cardigan and I would like to make a sensible denim skirt and perhaps jeans. I have also got an Archer on my list so I suppose that is quite autumny enough for now! I love that purple coloured geometric jersey, I look forward to seeing the finished dress and the coat!JustSewJennahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05533629262526878188noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3383028092077970309.post-40090777215396628362014-08-29T15:09:59.844+01:002014-08-29T15:09:59.844+01:00I hope the coat works out, as I love that style. ...I hope the coat works out, as I love that style. This one looked fab as it had some shaping at the waist, rather than going straight down from bust to hips, which I think is the key to making it more flattering. I've used Tessuti Alexa tee; a Kwik Sew 3790 with an asymetric neckline and Cj Patterns cowl tops. Once these patterns work, I made at least 3 at a time.
I like your fabric choices. What a great coat choice too.velosewshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18241344721302194932noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3383028092077970309.post-4641232417355198422014-08-28T21:08:48.669+01:002014-08-28T21:08:48.669+01:00Good post. I'm planning some wardrobe staples for autumn and winter rather than the "Oooo that looks like a challenge - let's have a go at that " approach that ive had lately! If you're making a coat can I just recommend you toile, toile and toile as I learned from my make of the Pavot jacket. Im sure you'll do a lovely job judging from your previous makes.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18116481737972395941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3383028092077970309.post-64979415707598579852014-08-28T16:32:15.730+01:002014-08-28T16:32:15.730+01:00I made a coat 2 winters ago and it was a real labo...I made a coat 2 winters ago and it was a real labour of love, but I loved every minute of it and was so proud of myself for completing it!

The Ghost dress looked gorgeous on, except the neckline was so low that you could see the whole of the front of my bra! Maybe if I start one mid winter I can wear it when the temps start to climb :)

The ghost dress is really pretty. I'm not a huge fan of the Papercut dress but it's always fun to see what someone does with a pattern that I don't 'get'. Oh and view A is cute with the cowl-like neckline.
